These projects take place over time and encourage students to build planning, critical thinking, and reflective skills. The resources below will give you more insight into the process and how you can build PBL into your curriculum.

The organization has example projects you can utilize after registering for free. Many of the projects provide strong links to the four Global Competencies and the UN SDGs.

The Speakers Match Program from the Peace Corps is a fantastic way to integrate Global Competency into your classroom. This program connects teachers to Peace Corps volunteers so students can better understand the culture and perspective of others.

The Stevens Initiative, named for Ambassador Chris Stevens, connects students in the U.S. to those in the Middle East and North Africa. It seeks to build Global Competence in students through virtual exchanges. The Initiative provides grants to organizations but also has many resources and project ideas available.

This platform aims to foster student discourse through technology in the hopes of making the world a better place. This resource is in use in over 60 countries and has specific projects with which to engage. There are separate programs aimed at teachers, parents, and students.
